Valentine

I saw this cute Valentine's Day quiz on Nicole's blog yesterday and wanted to jump and join the fun too!!!

1. What is your favorite romantic comedy?
Nancy Meyers is my fav. All of her movies make me so happy! It's Complicated, Something's Gotta Give, The Holiday, Father of the Bride, Baby Boom, When Harry Met Sally
2. What are your favorite flowers?
Hydrangeas & Peonies make my heart flutter!
3. What is your favorite Valentine's Day treat to eat?
Chocolate covered strawberries with champagne
4. Describe your best Valentine's Day.
Last night was pretty amazing!! I heard a knock at the door around 5 and standing there was my handsome hubby, grinning from ear to ear, holding the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers I have ever seen~ hydrangeas, white lilies, & light pink roses. Some people think flowers are overrated, and I have to disagree. Fresh flowers make me so happy! I cooked a Ranchero Mexican Crotada with a cilantro, black bean, & corn relish. All 4 of us sat at the table next to the candlelight and enjoyed dinner together, which is rare due to work conflicts, timing, etc. Audrey & I baked cupcakes for her Valentine's school party & made chocolate covered strawberries. After we put the girls to bed, Conor & I sipped on Rose' champagne, demolished the strawberries, & watched Life As We Know It. After the movie was over, Conor disappeared for a minute and came back in the living room with a DVD in his hand. We sat on the couch, holding hands, watching the movie of Audrey's birth. Conor made me this DVD shortly after Audrey was born and it's playing to some of my favorite songs. Maybe it was the champagne, but I was bawling like a baby. I can't believe she was ever so small. It was such a sweet gesture and I had a moment of complete thankfulness!

5. What has been the most romantic night of your life?

I have so many. That's tough. I was blessed to have a romantic hub! :) Probably our Honeymoon in Santa Fe. The weather was perfect during the day and chilly in the evening. We shopped,  relaxed at the spa, and wandered through art galleries during the days. After dinner in the evenings, we would lite fires with pinion wood in our fireplace, make a palate on the living room floor and watch movies. It was so simple and yet such a fabulous trip for us.

6. What's your go to date night outfit?
Jeans, black blazer, heels, & a statement jewelry piece

7. Where is your favorite place to go on a date?
Saii for sushi. The Ranch for a filet. Caffe Pranzo for some good neighborhood Italian food.

8. Store bought Valentine's or homemade?
Homemade.

9. What is your favorite love song?
Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol is one of our songs. I still love It Had To Be You by Harry. Always a classic.
